A 19th century French center table having elements of both Louis XVI and Napoleon III styles, featuring unusual geometric marquetry of various types of wood veneer on top, sides and legs. The tabletop is edged with a brass molding, and each tapered leg features a decorative brass collar and sabot. Adding overall stability is an elegantly curved X-shaped stretcher, centered with a brass finial.
