Opulent 19th century French Napoleon III commode, with intricate Boulle tortoise shell marquetry, ormolu detailing and marble top. Three highly-detailed doors, with vaguely grotesque inlaid designs in the style of of Jean Bérain, open to reveal a rich dark wood interior. All locks function and keys are included. The craftsmanship, materials and condition are all outstanding, and this is a museum-level example of 19th century French furniture-making.
